I love working with hand therapists. Did you know that a lot of hand problems can be managed without surgery? Most things around the hand take a while to improve, and very often, a targeted approach to your rehabilitation is needed. This may include a combination of casting/splinting, strengthening exercises, massage, and working on improving your range of motion and joint stability. They even manage post-operative wounds and stitches around the hand and wrist. They make sure to keep me up to date with how you are going and flag any problems or setbacks with me.
Working as a team to deliver the best possible care to you is rewarding. And celebrating when you’re better is even better when we can share it as a team.
